After leaving the business and corporate finance world (Bear Sterns, Inc.) as a young man, he became an experienced community leader and ran a nonprofit agency and outreach program to street gangs in New York City as its executive director. He raised nearly a million dollars for various community programs through his business relationships in New York City.

He was also recognized for his work by the New York City Mayor's office as well as the New York State Governor's office and NY State Senators. He also has international experience living and working abroad on projects in S. Korea, Senegal (Africa), and in England. He worked for two British government agencies in London and Oxfordshire that aided refugee asylum seekers and disadvantaged populations.

Dr. David 's specialty is working through unconscious thoughts, feelings, memories, hurts, and desires that can negatively impact our relationships, hurt self-esteem, undermine confidence, and keep men in addictions.

He works with men to get to the heart of deep and often hidden wounds that are behind most self-sabotage and self-destructive behaviors that cause life-controlling issues. He works with clients using great skill, care, sensitivity, and deep respect for each person.

I was born in East St. Louis, Illinois, but I was raised in southern California. I began my educational journey at the University of California, Berkeley. It was there and in the Bay Area, in general, that I found my sense of self and came into my own. In the Bay Area, I became actively involved in the lives of countless youth and young adults through mentoring and other extracurricular activities. It was the Bay that taught me the values of justice, equality, and speaking up for the voiceless.

In my search for being a part of the change needed in the community, I stumbled upon the field of counseling. It was while working at a residential treatment facility in Oakland, CA, that I realized the greater need for quality therapeutic services. At this point, I made the decision to become formally trained and sought to earn a Master’s in counseling.

Along the journey to obtaining my Master's degree, the passion to serve and to heal was further solidified. As a trained professional, my goal is to help heal broken families and individuals, to show love to those whom society has cast out, and to use my education and life experience to better the lives of others. My experiences are many, my passion is helping, and I will fulfill my life’s purpose through my trade, COUNSELING!
